Antique Jug Made Of Satin-finished And Polished Crystal, Central Europe, Circa 1960–1970.
Beautiful jug made of satin-finished and polished crystal. The tulip-shaped body features vertical grooves at the top that contrast with the faceted, polished lower section. This body rests on a long stem and a round base, both smooth and satin-finished.
The mechanical satin finish is more uniform than that of Art Deco pieces from the pre-war period; similarly, the silhouette—slender yet rounded at the same time—suggests it was manufactured around 1960, inspired by Art Deco models but crafted using modern techniques.
Probable origin: manufacturers in Central Europe—Bohemia (Harrach, Rückl) or Germany (Lausitzer Glas, Josephinenhütte).
