The Beach At A Baltic Sea Seaside Resort By Otto Nowak (1874–1945)
View of the beach at the historic Baltic Sea resort of Brunshaupten near Rostock.
The Baltic Sea (in German: Ostsee) resort of Brunshaupten no longer exists under that name. It merged with the neighboring town of Arendsee in 1938 and has since been known as Kühlungsborn. The history of this historic seaside resort dates back to 1881. Today, it is one of the largest and most traditional seaside resorts on the Mecklenburg Baltic coast.
The author of this painting is the Austrian history, genre, and portrait artist Otto Robert Nowak (1874 Vienna – 1945 Senftenberg near Krems).
