Alberto Falchetti (1878–1951) – Alpine Pond – Oil On Cardboard
A striking oil on cardboard by Alberto Falchetti, a Piedmontese painter born in Caluso in 1878, particularly known for his Alpine landscapes. Having developed an interest in mountain painting in part due to his relationship with Giovanni Segantini, Falchetti spent extended periods living and painting in the Alps, dedicating numerous works to the Val d’Ayas, Monte Rosa, and mountain life.
The work depicts a small alpine lake surrounded by vegetation, rendered through a textured painting style and free, lively brushstrokes.
In good overall condition, consistent with its age; any signs of wear and imperfections are visible in the photographs.
