In 1954, his "cockfight" won the Pacement award. From 1955 -1958, his work was shortlisted for the Othon Friesz Award. He exhibited at the "Comparison" (1955-1962), at the Salon "Painters witnesses of their time" in 1959. Bertin's submission "The control tower" was therefore acquired by Air France.
