Pair Of 19th-century Polychrome Meissen Porcelain Sculptures
A pair of polychrome Meissen porcelain sculptures depicting scenes of women from the late 19th century.
Both sculptures depict mythological figures typical of the eclectic taste of the late 19th century.
The larger figure is depicted wearing a long, purple-pink gown that covers a finely decorated robe with floral motifs and is leaning against a tripod with a small flame on top.
The smaller figure depicts a nymph rising from the water, captured in the act of lifting a veil over her head.
