19th-century Neapolitan Smith Checkerboard Made Of Mahogany
A Neapolitan Smith-style box made of mahogany with maple inlay, dating from the early 19th century.
Inside the display case is a nativity scene depicting the Nativity, featuring shepherds from the 1970s with wooden hands and feet and terracotta heads with glass eyes.
At the center of the scene is the Holy Family with the Baby Jesus, surrounded by various figures depicting shepherds and commoners dressed in cloth garments.
