Michel Anguier was one of the leading sculptors of Louis XIV’s reign.
A founding member of the Royal Academy, he participated in several major royal projects, notably at Val-de-Grâce, the Louvre, and Versailles.

It is a beautiful print on thick laid paper with a well-defined intaglio.
The inscriptions “Gab. Revel pinx” and “engraved by Laurent Cars” are perfectly legible.
The work is presented in a contemporary frame; I chose a wooden mold with a graphite-effect finish—understated and elegant—that highlights the quality of the engraving.
Regarding the condition, there are some visible old stains, and at the top of the back of the paper, a piece of tape—likely left over from its previous framing—is still present.
No tears.
