Pair of solid mahogany Empire-style armchairs from the early 19th century
An elegant pair of solid mahogany Empire-style armchairs dating from the early 19th century. They feature a straight, rectangular backrest, curved armrests resting on posts adorned with chiseled bronze rosettes, as well as straight front legs and saber-shaped rear legs, characteristic of the Empire style.
The upper band of the backrest is adorned with a delicate bronze palmette design. The seats and backrests are fully upholstered in yellow leather, accented with elegant brass tacking. The frame is perfectly stable, and the mahogany has a beautiful antique patina.
This pair of armchairs combines simplicity, elegance, and comfort. They will naturally find their place in a living room, an office, a library, or on either side of a fireplace.
