They rest on turned legs linked by an H-shaped strut, also turned, characteristic of 17th-century-inspired furniture. The turning work is elegant and gives the ensemble a beautiful presence.
The high, scalloped backrests are upholstered and covered in a floral-decorated fabric in the spirit of antique tapestries, held in place by a tapestry nail finish. The seats are wide and comfortable.
