A lovely, large Art Deco ball vase with a wrought-iron frame by Daum and Majorelle.
This vase is a stunning example of glassmaking craftsmanship, with the glass—still hot—set into a wrought-iron frame. Note the lovely raspberry color and the balanced proportions. The frame features a herringbone pattern typical of the Art Deco period.
The piece is double-signed “Daum ‘Croix de Lorraine’ Nancy France” and “L. Majorelle” on the base.
26 cm in height and diameter, weighing over 4.6 kilos.
