Art-deco Glass
Artist: Wmf
Attractive and interesting glass bowl designed by Karl Wiedmann for the famous German glassmaker WMF.
While French glassmaking at the time far surpassed the rest of European glassmaking, a number of European glassmakers also sought to work glass with talent. These well-referenced "ikora" models have nothing to envy the schneider cuts of the same period. Lovely etoile interlayer work, with a crackling effect and a beautiful orange border... A fine piece of glassmaking, to be sure.
I'll let you be the judge...
Perfect condition, 24 cm diameter, circa 1930, well referenced (a copy of the model in the last photo).
A collector's piece...as someone who loves Nancy glassmaking so much (I'm there...), I find this piece remarkable for its quality.
