The Art Deco Bronze Greyhound, Signed

A very interesting bronze sculpture depicting a greyhound with its left front paw raised
Does this pose suggest it is coming to a stop?

Dimensions of the bronze: Height 22 cm x 38 cm x 8.5 cm; with marble: Height 26 cm x 48 cm x 14 cm
Engraved on the bronze: "A. LIGNIERES" on the hind leg, and on the other hind leg, also engraved, "Bronze and Marcel Guillemard 41"
I haven’t found a biography of Lignieres, even though some of his works have appeared at public auctions
however, regarding Guillemard, here is what I found
Marcel Guillemard was born in 1888; he was a foundryman, publisher, and sculptor. In 1922, he took over his parents’ marble and bronze foundry. Starting in 1950, he gave up publishing and sculpture to devote himself exclusively to the manufacture of lighting fixtures.
He died in 1966.
The animal’s movement is beautifully rendered, with a patina featuring shades of green that blend slightly into brown
There is a small chip in the black marble, which I am noting here to avoid any complaints
