Original Legras Vase With Daisies And Embellishments, Circa 1900, Daum-galle Era
Artist: Legras
A charming and original vase from around 1900, decorated with daisies and appliqués.
A rare and interesting piece, a fine example of Legras’s work from the 1900s. The design is gold-glazed and enhanced by small red and yellow beads applied while the glass was hot, forming the petals of the flowers.
Note the lovely shape with two handles also applied while the glass was hot, and the twisted glass body with a highly ornate, wavy neck. The body of the vase is tinted purple, while the upper part is colorless.
30 cm tall, in very good condition, circa 1900, a well-documented Legras vase.
A beautiful collector’s piece, featuring multiple glassmaking techniques.
