Superb Sèvres biscuit porcelain figure depicting "Venus with a Quiver of Roses" after the famous model by Étienne-Maurice Falconet. A very beautiful subject, well-known to collectors, it shows a gentle representation of Venus, seated and filling Cupid's quiver with roses. The original of this work is in the Museum. Note the delicacy and gentleness of the face and the elegance of the pose. The biscuit porcelain is of very high quality; note the fineness of the hands and feet, very delicate. This piece measures 28 cm in diameter at the base and 25 cm in height. PERFECT CONDITION. Signed on the base "Falconet" as well as the intertwined "S" for the Sèvres signature. A sublime and very poetic subject.
