English Polychrome Wooden Lectern Table, England, Late 18th Century
An elegant, three-legged music stand made of veneered wood, finely decorated in polychrome with floral motifs, ribbons, and cartouches featuring cherubs painted in grisaille. The tilting top opens to reveal an interior lined with green silk, featuring two compartments, a small central drawer, and two small side drawers.
The tapered base rests on three curved legs, decorated with small painted flowers, ending in curls and joined by a triangular crossbar that is also decorated.
Minor imperfections, missing parts, and normal signs of wear consistent with its age.
