The Last Sitting: A famous photo shoot featuring Marilyn Monroe, which became renowned as the actress’s final session before her suicide on August 5, 1962. Bert Stern, a photographer for *Vogue*, arranged to meet Marilyn Monroe in late June 1962 at the Bel-Air Hotel in Los Angeles for a twelve-hour photo session. Twenty years later, in 1982, Stern published a commemorative book featuring a large number of photographs, including those rejected by the actress: the contact sheets. The photographs have been displayed in numerous exhibitions around the world.
