Exceptional set of 18 solid silver plates—Maison ODIOT and Léonard Vincelet—featuring the coats of arms of the Montesquieu family and the Aucaigne de Sainte-Croix family.

A rare and prestigious set of 18 flat plates in first-grade solid silver (950/1000), comprising:
13 plates from the prestigious Maison Odiot, silversmith to the imperial and royal courts.
5 plates crafted by silversmith Léonard Vincelet, of identical design, made to complete the service.

Each plate is finely engraved with the combined coat of arms of the Montesquieu family and the Aucaigne de Sainte-Croix family, attesting to a commission created to mark the union between these two ancient families of the French nobility. The coat of arms of the Aucaigne de Sainte-Croix family corresponds to the blazons listed in ancient armorials.
The quality of craftsmanship is remarkable, characteristic of 19th-century productions by the Maison Odiot.
