Pair of candelabra in griotte marble, chiseled bronze and ground gold. This pair of candelabra belongs to what was sometimes called the "Second Empire spectacular" in reference to the universal exhibitions where the creations of the great makers of the time were presented. Creations that competed in technical complexity, elegance, noble or rare materials. These candelabra borrow largely from the decorative vocabulary of the Renaissance, we will note a mascaron of a faun under a pediment with volutes and canopy on each side.
