Carved Entryway Coat Rack – Coat Racks And Umbrella Stands – Late 19th Century
A striking carved wooden entryway console, combining a coat rack and an umbrella stand in an elegant Louis XV-style design.
This piece stands out for its rich carved ornamentation: a spectacular openwork pediment featuring floral motifs, foliage, scrolls, and a human face, complemented by a beautiful carved crossbar at the bottom. The sides are adorned with large flowers in relief, while the legs also feature finely crafted decoration.
It is equipped with two metal coat hooks for hanging coats, as well as an umbrella rack with a drip tray at the bottom.
The piece features a beautiful antique patina in an aged gray tone, which perfectly highlights the carvings and lends it great charm. This coat rack will fit equally well in a historic home or a contemporary interior seeking a piece with character.
