Two embroidered armchair covers from the Louis XIV period. Wool tapestry featuring point stitch and petit point embroidery with a “thousand flowers” motif and fleurons on a brown background. Architectural design featuring large Medici vases with lion heads, embroidered in petit point.
Note: natural patina, a few small holes, and some restoration. The set is stable and durable enough to be used for period decoration or as cushion covers. Stable condition.
Dimensions: Approximately 66 cm x 68 cm for one, 70 cm x 60 cm for the second.
