Armchair, Napoleon III Period
A charming little low chair, made of black-lacquered wood, molded and carved, decorated with palmettes and rosettes and engraved with scrollwork, featuring a trapezoidal backrest with scrollwork and a circular seat, resting on two tapered, fluted front legs, with slightly curved rear legs (minor imperfections—seat height: approximately 36 cm).
It is upholstered with its original tapestry featuring a polychrome floral design and chimeras on a black background (signs of wear).
