Three-strand Necklace Made Of Mediterranean Coral And 18k Gold

A three-strand necklace made of small beads of authentic natural red Mediterranean coral, a superb testament to traditional craftsmanship and the art of carving. The centerpiece of the piece is a striking circular element, finely hand-carved with a floral motif. The carving, executed with the highest quality craftsmanship, stands out for the extraordinary three-dimensionality of the petals arranged in a radial pattern and for the meticulous detail of the outer leaves, carefully serrated along the edges to lend realism and dynamism to the composition. As a testament to the craftsmanship and structural care, the back of the centerpiece is elegantly reinforced and finished with a base of natural mother-of-pearl, which ensures the stability of the setting and exceptional comfort when worn.The centerpiece is designed to be versatile and removable: it attaches to the three strands of coral via two elegant vintage 18-karat yellow gold (750/1000) lobster clasps.
The coral dates from the 19th century and was assembled in the 20th century.
