- In very fine condition, beautiful patina, traces of knife marks
- Diameter: 30.5 cm; height: 3.3 cm; weight: 820 g

- Round semi-hollow dish with six molded ridges. Coat of arms engraved on the rim, consisting of a shield surmounted by a marquis’s crown flanked by two savages: silver (?) with a lion (?) (family undetermined)

- Hallmarks (under the rim): warden's mark: crowned P, Valenciennes, 1738 ([Helft] n.d.); mark of recognition: a swan, Valenciennes ([Helft] No. 492c); mark of recognition: a lion , Valenciennes([BP] No. 412b); master goldsmith: SV surmounted by a crowned fleur-de-lis for Salomon Vacheron, master goldsmith admitted to the Valenciennes guild in 1714 ([Helft no. 492d & 493d]).
