Elegant ceramic bowl signed by Louis Dage, a leading figure in French ceramics during the interwar period.
The piece features a naturalistic design of hazel branches adorned with leaves and fruits in slight relief, rendered in a delicate palette of greens, browns, and mauves on a mottled blue and cream background characteristic of the decorative trends of the era.
The piece is enhanced by a beautiful copper-plated metal mount with a stylized plant motif forming two side handles.
The quality of the enamel, the refinement of the decoration, and the combination with the original metal mount perfectly illustrate the Art Deco aesthetic of the years 1925–1935.
