An elegant Louis XV Transition-style ladies’ secretary desk, featuring an upper drawer and a drop-down panel revealing an interior compartment with small drawers, as well as three drawers in the lower section. 

The curved front is richly paneled with rosewood arranged in a curly pattern, accented by inlaid fillets.

The drop-down panel is adorned with a charming painted panel depicting a romantic scene in the 18th-century style, framed by an elaborate rocaille-style gilded bronze trim. 

The piece rests on curved legs adorned with bronze finials and feet.

The piece is topped with a beautiful molded piece of veined red marble.

The interior features a refined layout with four small drawers and a central niche, typical of ladies’ writing desks intended for correspondence.

A French piece in the Louis XV style, crafted in the late 19th century in the tradition of Parisian cabinetmaking.
