Liège, 1750–1770, Silver Salt Shaker, Louis XV Period

Artist: Pas De Poinçons
A magnificent Louis XV-era sugar caster made of solid silver. The style, decoration, proportions, and techniques used all point to the city of Liège around 1750–1770. Unfortunately, the highly talented silversmith who crafted this little masterpiece did not have the pleasure of hallmarking this little gem.
In perfect condition, with traces of vermeil remaining on the flower at the top of the lid.
