Rare pair of solid silver candelabras from the Art Deco period designed and manufactured in the Delheid goldsmiths' workshops in Brussels. They are of a very avant-garde taste for the Belgian public who were during the interwar period largely quite classical and still fond of goldsmithery in the styles of the eighteenth century French. They are not weighted and of a very good quality. They testify to the know-how and the great artistic creativity of the Delheid brothers who were the heirs of a dynasty of Brussels goldsmiths which began in 1825 with Michel Delheid. They weigh 525 grams.
