Pair of 3-light candelabra from the late 18th century
Pair of three-light candelabra in mercury-gilded bronze and bronze with a brown patina from the Directoire period.
A square base supports a cylindrical shaft with a patina, decorated with a frieze of palmettes, drapery, and masks.
The shafts support two figures—a woman and a man—with a brown patina, each holding an urn from which emerges a bouquet of leaves and poppy buds. The bouquet is topped by poppy-shaped finials, each adorned with a fluted candlestick cup
Height: 50.5 cm
Very good condition with minimal wear.
Directoire period, late 18th century
