Large pair of chased and gilt-bronze candlesticks, Restoration period (circa 1820), featuring the "basket" (of fruit and flowers) design. Decoration includes a water-leaf frieze, cornucopias at the base, palmettes, acanthus leaves, and trellis patterns, along with floral motifs. Fluted shafts and gadrooned bobèches. Good condition, retaining original mercury gilding with only minor wear. Height: 32 cm; base diameter: 14 cm. Free delivery within France and the European Union.
