Large white enamel dial with Roman numerals surrounded by a thin bezel typical of the production of the very beginning of the 19th century. Two Breguet type hands and one hand for the alarm.
The "airin" gong giving a very crystalline sound, the handle is in brass. The clock rests on 4 spinning feet.
Movement with two plates, anchor escapement, wire suspension.
Functions:
- alarm: the alarm time is set by moving the hand counterclockwise to the desired alarm time. Winding the alarm by pulling the string located above
- striking the hours and half-hours as they pass and on demand by pulling the string located at the bottom on the left side of the clock.
- Reminder of the strike of each hour at +2 minutes. (strikes the hours and reminds the time by striking a second time two minutes later)
Total height 29 cm, width 11.5 cm depth 8 cm Period: very early 19th century around 1805/1810.
Condition report: clock in very good condition, the dial has no accidents. All the functions of the movement work perfectly. The button on the side door to the left of the clock is very old but not original.
NB: the brass cabinet is in very good condition and shows no oxidation, wear or irregularities on the surface. It is preserved in its condition. A simple cleaning (without polishing) will give it a shiny appearance.
