Pair of First Empire-era candlesticks
Russian-made, finely chiseled bronze, gilded with mercury and patinated
A very elegant pair of First Empire-era candlesticks of Russian origin, crafted from mercury-gilded bronze with a beautiful patina of age.
Each candlestick rests on a circular base with a radiating decoration. The cylindrical shaft is topped by a square section with four sides, each adorned with a cabochon in relief. The entire piece is embellished with particularly fine chiseling, characteristic of high-quality Russian craftsmanship from the early 19th century.
The bowls feature a refined decoration of beaded friezes and gadroons, while the removable candle holders retain their original elegant silhouette.
