Large Set Of Baccarat Crystal Glasses, Antique Style With Swans And Empire-style Motifs, Goblets
Artist: Baccarat
A significant set of goblet-shaped crystal glasses, engraved by the renowned Baccarat house.
An ovoid model, created in the 1920s as a variation of the Rohan set known as Gouvieux.
This is the “Gilbert” shape, listed in the 1933 Baccarat tableware catalog, presented here with a beautiful engraved Empire-style design featuring swans, laurel wreaths, amphorae, and foliage.
As this is an early piece dating from before 1936, it does not bear the crystal manufacturer’s signature, since Baccarat did not begin applying its acid-etched hallmark until that date.
Our set consists of 42 pieces, including:
•17 12cl glasses measuring 9 cm in height.
•22 10cl glasses measuring 7.6 cm in height.
•12 6-cm glasses, each 6.7 cm tall.
•A wine decanter measuring 27.5 cm in height.
Some glasses still bear their original labels; dimensions for the same glass model may vary by up to 2 mm, as is common with antique glassware.
In good condition, no restoration; only the decanter needs cleaning—there is some crystallization inside (last photo).
Worldwide shipping included via DHL or UPS
