A very fine Limoges porcelain dinner service, from the Haviland factory, Louveciennes pattern.
First released in 1974, the Louveciennes collection is inspired by a neoclassical design created in the 18th century by the Sèvres porcelain manufactory for Marie Antoinette.
The design consists of alternating blue and gold medallions adorned with a rose and gold medallions. Between the medallions, garlands of intertwined laurel leaves frame motifs featuring roses and barbel fish. The background of the plates is adorned with a bouquet of flowers encircledby gilded foliage and garlands of intertwined laurel leaves.
This 125-piece set for 12 people consists of the following:
-12 dinner plates, 24.6 cm in diameter
-12 soup plates, 23.6 cm in diameter
-12 cheese plates, 20.8 cm in diameter
-12 dessert plates, diameter 19.6 cm
-12 slightly deep bread or appetizer plates, diameter 12.6 cm
