Lovely large Italian chandelier in carved wood with golden patina in Louis XIV style. It takes up the architectural codes of Mazarins chandeliers, with a large inverted dome in the lower part, S-shaped sconces carved with acanthus leaves, a massive shaft decorated with mascarons and a flame ending. This chandelier lights up with 8 arms of light, the electricity was redone a few years ago and works. The gilding, which was certainly originally leaf, was covered with a bronze wash and patinated. Good general condition, some regluing in the sconces. Very decorative and beautiful sized chandelier. Period early 20th century around 1910-1920.
