Pair Of Louis XVI Gilt Bronze Candlesticks, 18th Century
Pair of Louis XVI period candlesticks or torches in gilt bronze.
Simple and chic model with a base surrounded by a frieze of laurel leaves then large flat areas of fluting.
The fluted shaft rises to end in a laurel frieze. Acanthus leaves on the socket.
Very beautiful original gilding, most certainly mercury.
Typical 18th century assembly, in two molded and welded parts, we can still see the assembly line.
Base of a socket very slightly cracked.
Late 18th century period. Delivery 18 euros in France, 35 euros in the EU and 100 euros rest of the world.
