Object description :

"Limoges Porcelain Sugar Bowl By Raynaud, Promenade At The Royal Palace "
Raynaud Limoges Porcelain Sugar Bowl, Promenade at the Palais Royal. One of the most prestigious services from the Raynaud company in Limoges. The cartouche motifs evoke the customs of the "Incroyables" and "Merveilleuses," the eccentric youth of Paris during the Directory, and are inspired by an engraving by Louis Carrogis, known as Carmontelle (1795-1799). All the figures and foliage are hand-painted before being enameled and dusted with pure gold. It is in excellent condition. Height: 13.5 cm.
