Brass Calvary Crucifix, 17th Century
Resting on a round tripod base with an openwork rosette design, this crucifix depicts at its feet the Virgin Mary, Saint John, and Mary Magdalene kneeling. Between the titulus and the skull of Adam, a living Christ with an upright and slender body wears a twisted crown and a radiant halo.
Very good condition. The crucifix and its base are tinned, while the riveted elements have a patinated gilding.
