Solid silver sewing kit in a leather-covered case.
Period: late 19th to early 20th century.
It contains:
- A pair of embroidery scissors. The blades are beautiful and sharp. They are signed “Nogent” and cut through fabric.
- A needle case
- An embroidery awl
- A thimble
The tools are stamped with a “boar’s head” motif.
The case is slightly warped but still closes properly. It measures 13.5 cm in length.
