Rare and elegant enameled glass by Giboin (Nicolas Jean Alphonse Giboin: 1828–1921). Artist from Libourne.
Late 19th to early 20th century. Stemmed glass for wine or water. The bowl is decorated with a large Arabesque-style medallion and botanical motifs: flowers and branches.The colors are painted and enamelled in turquoise blue,English green, red and white, and accented with gilding. Hot enameling in relief.
Very good condition. Signed GAG (Giboin’s monogram) on the base (see photo).
