18th-century Gilded Wood Panel
A piece of woodwork that was part of a large ensemble. It may have been the back panel of a niche intended to house a statue of Christ or a saint. Carved in high relief, it features three nails alluding to the crucifixion. The shape and high relief of the frieze surrounding the three nails are quite characteristic of Spanish models. Very beautiful gilding
