Mid-18th Century Six Louis XV Chairs In Painted Wood
Refined set of six solid walnut chairs, carved and
finely painted in tempera. The chairs feature a rather linear backrest and
curved legs, joined by slats, in alternating mustard and white colors, lending
a refined touch to the overall effect. The padded seat offers exceptional
comfort and is upholstered in a unique velvet fabric featuring alternating
shades of gold, purple, and white, with a floral motif. These six chairs exude
great taste and elegance, adding a touch of class and antiquity to any setting.
Made in the Marche region (central Italy), they date back to the Louis XV
period, around the mid-18th century.
