Late 18th Century Pair Of Neoclassical Painted Console Tables
Refined pair of wall-mounted, teardrop-shaped consoletables, crafted from carved wood and painted with a thin tempera. The consoletables feature a wooden top painted to resemble a black marble with whiteveining, and two legs each carved with laurel leaf vines, which join in thecenter to form a shell. The other carving details, both on the front and sides,are classical in style and adorned with geometric motifs and floralinterweaving, further accentuating their refinement. This pair of console tablesexudes great style and elegance, capable of furnishing any space with a touchof class and antiquity. Tuscan manufacture, from the Directoire period, aroundthe end of the 18th century.
