Mid-18th Century Pair Of Architectural Wall Friezes

Refined pair of architectural wall friezes, crafted from carved wood and gilded with gold leaf. The friezes are shaped like acanthus leaves, reminiscent of the upper part of a Corinthian capital. These splendid objects, originally conceived as architectural wall friezes, can be used both as sconces, with a light bulb inserted, or as bases for wall shelves, adding a shelf. This pair of elements exudes great taste and refinement, adding a touch of class and antiquity to any space. Made in the Marche region (central Italy), from the Louis XV period, around the mid-18th century.
