18th Century Half-moon Wall Bracket
Large giltwood wall console. It is curved, pierced by a fretwork frieze highlighted by a row of pearls. It is adorned with a laurel wreath. The uprights are decorated with large sunflowers and tall acanthus leaves terminating in small stylized plumes. Louis XVI period. Siena yellow marble top, later added, molded with a cavetto. Minor damage to the gilding. Very fine Louis XVI period ornamentation.
