Louis XVI Console In Carved Oak And Royal Red Marble 18th Century
Elegant Louis XVI console table in carved and waxed oak, 18th century. It is topped with a royal red marble with cavet molding and central protrusion on the front and at the corners and back of the sides. This bracket has crosspieces with the same protrusions and an openwork carved décor of interlacing punctuated with medallions and laurel garlands. It stands on two tapered front legs with curved flutes, joined by a spacer that holds a large covered vase in the middle. The variety and richness of the carved decoration and the rhythm of the protrusions make this console a highly decorative piece of furniture for both classic and contemporary interiors.
