Early 19th Century Empire Work Table
Refined work table, veneered in solid cherry wood, finely carved. The table consists of three linear legs, with decorative columns, joined by a curved triangular base. The top is round and smooth, and can be opened by sliding a hinged hinge. Inside, visible from the outside, is a green fabric, which was used to hold fabrics for work, while directly inside is a pincushion. This is a tasteful and refined table, capable of adding a touch of class and antiquity to any space. Florentine manufacture from the Empire period, likely attributed to the workshop of the famous Florentine cabinetmaker Jacopo Ciacchi, around the early 19th century.
