Mid-18th Century Louis XV Inlaid Chest Of Drawers
Refined chest of drawers, veneered in solid walnut and burl walnut, and finely inlaid with various fruitwoods. The piece features a characteristic serpentine (or "crossbow-shaped") front and the gently curved legs typical of the period. It is further embellished with geometric inlays across the front, sides, and top, which lend an additional touch of sophistication. The chest offers three spacious, functional drawers, fitted with locks and pulls crafted from bronze using the lost-wax casting technique. This is a piece of great taste and elegance, capable of bringing a sense of class and historic charm to any interior. Neapolitan craftsmanship, Louis XV period, circa mid-18th century.
