Second Half Of The 19th Century Mahogany Dining Table From The Parri Workshop
Refined, large dining table in finely carved solid mahogany. The table is oval in shape, with a turned base and four curled legs decorated with plant and geometric carvings, combined with ebonized parts. The table is extendable and has three extensions, also in mahogany. Its stability is further enhanced by the legs, which also extend to the two ends of the table, while two additional turned legs can be lowered in the center. The inside of the table bears the inscription "F. Parri F.," which indicates the piece was made by the workshop of the famous Livorno-based cabinetmaker Francesco Parri (active 1849-1881) and Sons. Parri was renowned for creating various furnishings and furniture, drawing inspiration from English taste, primarily in the Pisa and Livorno areas. This is a table of great taste and refinement, exquisitely crafted and high-quality, capable of adding a touch of class and elegance to any setting. Made in Livorno (Tuscany, Italy) in the second half of the 19th century.
