Second Half Of The 18th Century Vienna Porcelain Group "allegory Of Drawing"
Refined and unique polychrome porcelain sculpture, finely painted. The group depicts two semi-nude figures, a boy and a girl, atop a green hill, visible above a tree trunk and a plinth with part of a column. The boy holds a sheet of paper with a decorative vase drawn on it in one hand, while behind the girl is an open book with facial features, such as ears, nose, and mouth, evoking the allegory of drawing. This work displays masterful detail and finish, lending a touch of refinement and antiquity to any setting. The manufacturer's mark, a shield, attributable to Vienna, is on the bottom. Minor defects are noted. Viennese manufacture, second half of the 18th century.
