" Early 19th Century Empire Small Work Table"
Refined work table made of finely carved mahogany. The table features four arched legs that meet at the end of a base, and curved feet. The front features a fold-out drawer containing small drawers for sewing supplies and a removable fabric needle holder. The top also folds down and can be opened with a small bronze key, revealing additional small drawers and a mirror, allowing the piece to also be used as a dressing table. This table exudes great taste and refinement, adding a touch of class and antique elegance to any space. Made in Livorno (Tuscan coast, central Italy) during the Empire period, circa early 19th century.
